Here is the browser market share for November 2009, based on traffic to my top site:
Google Chrome: 8.00%
IE showed another drop in November, which, given recent history, was not surprising. What was surprising was that Firefox also showed a drop. The big winner in November was Google Chrome, which improved its market share by 0.6% and is now at 8%.
Is this increase by Google Chrome real or is it just somehow skewed by the visitor demographics to my site? The numbers at Net Applications also shows that Google Chrome has increased its market share every month in 2009, with its November market share more than double its market share in January. This is consistent with what I have been seeing (recall Google Chrome’s market share was 3.50% in January 2009). So it appears the gain I am seeing with Google Chrome is real.
