February 2014 Browser Market Share

Here is the browser market share for February 2014, based on traffic to my top site (number in parentheses shows change from January 2014):

Google Chrome: 47.30% (+2.66%)
IE: 23.18% (-1.42%)
Firefox: 22.74% (-1.81%)
Safari: 3.20% (+0.37%)
Opera: 0.93% (-0.07%)

In February, Google Chrome not only recovered its loss in January, but it surged ahead of December’s figures by 1.41%, showing that January was a temporary dip. Chrome’s gains came at the expense at both IE and Firefox. Of those two, IE regained second place behind Google Chrome, but only because it lost less than Firefox did. Elsewhere, Safari had a strong month.
