July 2014 Browser Market Share

Here is the browser market share for July 2014, based on traffic to my top site (number in parentheses shows change from June 2014):

Google Chrome: 51.54% (+2.39%)
IE: 22.67% (-1.26%)
Firefox: 20.30% (-0.62%)
Safari: 2.61% (-0.37%)
Opera: 0.64% (+0.01%)

Google Chrome broke 50% market share for the first time in July, showing a large increase of 2.39%. This showed that June’s decline was only temporary. Chrome’s improvement came at the expense of pretty much all the other browsers, especially IE, which gave up most of June’s gains in July. Firefox and Safari also both saw further decline in their market share.
