Here is the browser market share for December 2014, based on traffic to my top site (number in parentheses shows change from November 2014): Google Chrome: 55.79% (+0.10%) Firefox: 19.77% (-0.30%) IE: 17.62% (-0.27%) Safari: 2.64% (-0.12%) Opera: 0.85% (no change)
In April 2013, both Google Chrome and IE gained market share, while Firefox and Safari lost share.
In November 2012, IE lost significant market share. Meanwhile, Microsoft has launched a “The Browser You Love To Hate” campaign to promote its IE 10 browser.
Browser market share remained largely unchanged in February 2011. During the month, Microsoft released RC for IE9, with the official launch expected in March.
